Dana Safran

Dana Gelb Safran, Sc.D. is joining WELL as Senior VP, Value Based Care and Population Health. With over 30 years as a leader in health care and academia, Dana is recognized internationally for her contributions to measuring and improving health care quality, and patient outcomes and experience. Dana was an architect of provider payment reform while at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and most recently, was among the founding leaders of Haven, a joint venture of Amazon, JPMorgan Chase and Berkshire Hathaway. Dana and her husband Alan (Founder and President, Saga Education, Inc.) are the unabashedly proud parents of Alison (28), Michael (25), and Caroline (21). They live in Newton, MA with their dog, Colbie, and relish the outdoors, travel, adventure, cooking and mixology.
